“Korean Culture Day” was held with the cooperation between Antalya Bilim University and the Embassy of South Korea on Döşemealtı Campus. Undersecretary of Ankara Embassy of South Korea Dong Woo Cho participated in the event.
During the event, the positions of Korea and Turkey in the international arena, and their historical friendship were discussed. Acting Rector of Antalya Bilim University Prof. Dr. H. Tarık Oğuzlu had a meeting with Undersecretary Dong Woo Cho and his team. During the meeting, the education policies of the two countries and the future cooperation between the universities of these countries were discussed.
KOREAN LANGUAGE COURSES WILL BE OPENED
Undersecretary Dong Woo Cho stated that in Antalya, there was a considerable number of people who were interested in learning Korean, which was an advantage for Antalya Bilim University due to having many international students. Prof. Dr. H.Tarık Oğuzlu said: “Now, our university has three Korean faculty members, and this is very important in terms of the activities which we will organize in the future. If there is enough demand, we may think of opening a Korean language course.” Also, the event witnessed a show where the participants could try on the traditional Korean dress “Hanbok,” and enjoy the music and dances of the famous Korean group Arariyo.
