Özlem ŞAHAN was born in 1984 in Niğde. She completed her primary and high school education in Niğde. She completed her undergraduate education at Selçuk University, Department of Nursing in 2007. She received her science expertise from Selcuk University Health Sciences Institute in 2012. She started her doctorate program in 2012 at Hacettepe University Health Sciences Institute, Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology Nursing. In 2013, she transferred to Istanbul University Cerrahpaşa / Health Sciences Institute, Women's Health and Diseases Nursing doctorate program. She completed her doctorate at Istanbul University Cerrahpaşa / Health Sciences Institute, Department of Gynecology and Diseases Nursing in 2020. From 2007-2009, she worked as a visiting lecturer at the Nursing Department of Karamanoğlu Mehmet Bey University. She worked as a nurse at Karaman State Hospital from 2011-2013. In 2021, she started to work as a faculty member at Antalya Bilim University, Faculty of Health Sciences, Midwifery Department.
