Open Academic Positions in Faculty of Engineering

The College of Engineering at Antalya Bilim University (ABU) invites applications for a one-year non-tenure-track faculty position in the areas listed below.  The successful candidates must hold Ph.D. degree in a closely related fields and must be committed to excellence in teaching and research. The positions are renewable annually at the discretion of the University Administration. Faculty seeking sabbatical leave are encouraged to apply for the positions as well.

Responsibilities of successful candidates will include teaching at the undergraduate level, working with the faculty on existing research projects, and developing new funded research opportunities in the area of their specialty. Additional requirements include reporting the research findings to the funding agencies, presenting in national and international conferences, and publishing articles in refereed journals.

Positions are available at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor levels in the following departments and areas of specialty:

Civil Engineering (CE): Structural, Geotechnical, and Mechanical

Computer Science (CS): Computer Software, and Computer Hardware

Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE): Control, and Communication

Industrial Engineering (IE): Operational Research

Mechanical Engineering (ME): Mechanical, Construction and Manufacturing, and Energy and Thermodynamics

Teaching and Research Load per Semester: Assistant and Associate Professors: Teaching (60%, three courses) and Research (40%). Full Professor: Teaching (40%, two courses) and Research (60%). Teaching and research loads can be negotiated with the University Administration.

In addition to the above mentioned positions, the Scientific and Technological Council of Turkey (TUBITAK) grants fellowships for international scientists/researchers who would like to give workshops/conferences/lectures, or conduct R&D activities in Turkey in the fields of Natural Sciences, Engineering and Technological Sciences, Medical Sciences, Agricultural Sciences, Social Sciences and Humanities.
