Course Objectives

The aim of this course is to provide students with knowledge of the history and classification of surgery, safe hospital environments, fluid and electrolyte imbalances, acid–base disorders, pain, shock, wounds and wound care, the perioperative period, gastrointestinal system diseases and their surgical treatment, endocrine system diseases and their surgical treatment, musculoskeletal system diseases and their surgical treatment, breast diseases and their surgical treatment, nervous system diseases and their surgical treatment, and tissue and organ transplantation.
