Physiotherapy

The aim of this course is to provide students with fundamental knowledge of kinesiology and biomechanics, explain the biomechanical properties of the tissues constituting the musculoskeletal and neural systems, and introduce the mechanical principles underlying normal human movement. The course also aims to develop an understanding of the mechanical behavior of bone, muscle, connective tissue, cartilage, and joints under normal and pathological conditions; body reference planes, movement and gait analysis; and the mechanical and pathomechanical characteristics of the spine, pelvis, and upper and lower extremity joints.

Violation of academic integrity includes, but is not limited to, cheating or attempting to cheat, plagiarism, presenting false information or citations, facilitating dishonest actions carried out by others, obtaining examinations without authorization, using previously completed work without informing the instructor, and altering another student’s academic work. Any form of violation of academic integrity constitutes a serious academic offense and will result in consequences under the university’s disciplinary regulations.
