A Visit From Antalya Bilim Unıversity To Forest Regional Directorate

Deputy Dean Assistant Proffessor Mustafa KÜÇÜKTÜVEK of Antalya Bilim University, Faculty of Fine Arts and Architecture, Lecturer Nil KOKULU and Lecturer Setenay UÇAR have visited Forest Regional Directorate and Biological Control Laboratory. At the meeting with the Regional Director of Vedat DİKİCİ and Departmental Manager Mitat UYAN, It was decided to cooperate on the use of the laboratories belonging to the Directorate in order to test the resistance of building materials against fire, insects and fungi.

In this context, it is planned to test the building materials first, which are impregnated with specially modified boron minerals. It is anticipated that the resistance of building materials impregnated with boron minerals which are known to be nature friendly are highly durable to burning and biological hazards.
