Academic integrity is the pursuit of scholarly activity based on the values of honesty, trust, fairness, respect, and responsibility. Practicing academic integrity means never plagiarizing or cheating, never misrepresenting yourself, never falsifying information, and never deceiving or compromising the work of others. Basically, this means that, whether intentionally or unintentionally, using someone else’s words or ideas without giving proper credit is strictly forbidden.Academic integrity also includes honest, responsible, and transparent use of artificial intelligence (AI). Students must not present AI-generated content, ideas, or work as entirely their own when disclosure is required. When AI tools are used, their use should be acknowledged appropriately and in accordance with the relevant academic rules and policies. AI must be used as a supportive tool rather than as a means of misrepresenting one’s own knowledge, skills, or academic work.
