Course Objectives

The aim of this course is to enable students to understand asepsis, antisepsis and sterile surgical practice in oral and maxillofacial surgery, recognize common surgical diseases and indications; prepare the patient, surgical field, sterile set and surgical table; identify instruments, devices and materials used in extraction, surgical extraction, infection drainage, biopsy, trauma, implant and sinus lift procedures; and provide effective assistance before, during and after surgery.
